How to search for your next book

Find your next read by title, author, or describing a vibe — plus tips for getting great results.

1

Search by title or author

Type a book title or author name to find a specific book. Sage searches Google Books and returns matching results. Tap a result to see the full book page.

2

Describe a vibe or mood

Not sure what you want? Type how you're feeling or what you're in the mood for. Sage uses AI to find books that match. Try: "something cozy and slow-paced" or "dark thriller with a twist ending."

3

Combine a genre with an emotion

The best searches pair a genre with a feeling or trope. Examples: "enemies to lovers fantasy", "slow burn hockey romance", "dark academia mystery", "cozy mystery small town vibes", "spicy sports romance".

4

Reference a book you've loved

Use a book you've already read as the starting point. Try: "something like The Deal but darker", "similar to Fourth Wing but more mystery", "books like The Hating Game".

5

Be specific about what matters to you

Mention the elements that matter most — pacing, heat level, setting, POV, or length. "A short fast-paced thriller under 300 pages" or "dual POV romance with no cheating" will get more tailored results.
